“I started my university career studying physics, because I wanted to know how the world works. A couple of years in I realized I don’t have the patience to deal with all the equations, so I switched to philosophy of physics to skip all that hard work and find out how the story ends. Reading and writing prose was definitely much more in my comfort zone than calculating!

 

After studies I made my career in public relations, corporate communications, marketing, and journalism. In the corporate world I’ve been most comfortable working in tech companies, and as a journalist I enjoyed my two years in China writing human interest stories of the (extra)ordinary lives of the local people.

 

I’m a science fiction geek and an amateur comic artist, and I never stopped believing in the power of science and technology.”

“I have two great passions: video/photography and science. I have been filming everything and everyone since I was 12, and I have an MA degree in Science Communication and TV Journalism. Science and technology are so crucial in making the world go around that they deserve to be talked about; similarly, people deserve to understand how everything works.

 

I started the “100 Seconds of Science” series on Estonian National Broadcast’s morning show and involved all of Estonia’s biggest universities to talk about their research in a fun, visually captive way.

 

My home today is Zürich, but whenever possible, I escape the city for the mountains.”
